Resulting from feedback from one of the crits I changed the colour of the part of the banner that surrounds the type, for the Ted Baker animation. I changed it from a lighter blue to a darker one to make it more legible.
I printed out the clothes tags in a few different colours and some different coloured paper stocks. I actually really like how they all turned out although I don't think they are completely in keeping with the rest of the campaign. I will probably on use a couple of them as part of the final campaign.
I made a couple of quick mock ups of a point of purchase and a clothes tag. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. Obviously the final ones will be printed in colour and I'll use black or green cord on the tag.
You can't make it out that well in the photos but on the point of purchase the face and the banner are raised up away from the background, I thought this would do quite a nice job of reflecting the 3D nature of the window display.
I made an animation to demonstrate the concept of my window display. A bit like the channel 4 idents different sections of the image are on different layers. They all line up and make the image when you look at it from a certain angle.
I developed some flyer/poster ideas. I've also printed out a widow/floor sticker and I'd quite like to develope some clothes tags.
I think I jumped into this project a bit too quickly without really considering my idea carefully, as a result I don't feel particularly enthusiastic about my concept. I'm either just going to try and get it finished and out of the way or I might try and slightly reconsider my concept.
I experimented with a range of colours for the Ted Baker project. My tag-line is going to be"Keep it regal this autumn" using this image of a regal mustached gentleman. I'd like to apply these images across a range of objects, such as flyers, stickers, poster, point of purchase etc. to create a convincing campaign.
For the Ted Baker brief I am interested in working with Asymmetric grids to create images. If possible I would like to recreate this images on a larger scale using individual pieces of paper.
OK I've pretty much finished my original four briefs and I am going to do 2 others between now and the end of the module. One of them is for Ted Baker and the other is for Bacardi, they're both from the 2009/2010 YCN Students Awards.
